It's been a couple of months since I've done a 12x12 layout. I've been pre-occupied by the Project Life spreads. But I really wanted to use this paper I've had for a while because it has that same pre-designed polaroid look just like this last layout I did.
This paper is called SMILE BIG from the Vintage Bliss collection by Simple Stories. It's pretty just the way it is and I could have simply sized some photos to fit the polaroids and be done...but I really wanted to dress it up more and add some extra bits and pieces, as well as 3-d elements. I even sewed close to those printed stitching lines in some gold metallic thread. So, here's my final layout.
For the next two pictures, I die cut my own photo frames out of some coordinating papers and added some chipboard words snippets from the Vintage Bliss coordinating embellishments. The heart is a die from Becky Higgins new Project Life die set.
This lovely pink and gold foil dotted frame is from The Pier Collection ephemera pack by Crate Paper and the little circle "2" is from the Vintage Bliss chipboard, but don't those pinks look like they are from the same collection? The little wood dots are from the new MME Just Splendid Collection.
This little frame is from Maggie Holmes Style Board Collection from Crate Paper with some enamel dots added along the bottom.
This lovely gold glittered frame is also from the Maggie Holmes Style Board Collection from Crate Paper with just a few mini star sequins added.
Then, for the strip of three pictures, I really wanted the patterns to peek out from behind the pictures, that's why I made them smaller. I also raised the pictures on pop dots. The bow is a made with a 3 piece die from Maggie Holmes Style Board Collection die set.
Here is a closer look at that cute little bow made from coordinating paper and the die.
And, lastly, a little chipboard embellishment from the Vintage Bliss Collection with all of the sayings repeated.
