Fall is my FAVOURITE season of all and even though we are long past and well into winter, I wanted to scrap this picture of me and the girls at Disneyland this past September.
I wanted to add wood veneer to the layout because it just "feels" more like Fall and I had these fun circles to use. I was inspired by the latest wood veneer layouts over on Studio Calico's Gallery such as this one. But then it just wasn't feeling right to me with the wood on top. And by chance I just came across a Christmas layout by Nancy Damiano with the same wood veneer circles I wanted to use. So I pretty much followed her design layout with my own papers and embellishments. Her design style always fits so well with my aesthetic...thanks Nancy!
I also used wood veneer alphas in large and small sizes.
I wanted to pop up my picture off the background, so I used a glue gun. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the look...but that's it...that baby is STUCK!
I even had some wood veneer hearts to add.
I added a cute little resin pumpkin from Jolee's Boutique and an enamel dot. I also sewed through the banner with some metallic gold thread.
