This is my 9th birthday with my yearly "birthday tradition picture". I'm trying to capture one decade of my life with a picture each year. So now that I've got this year's picture, there's just one more to go! Yipeee!!! Well, then again, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but what I do know is that the time has flown by. Sometimes I find myself calculating my time, and what I may or many not have left, and I'm reminded of this quote...
Why be saddled with this thing called life expectancy? Of what relevance to an individual is such a statistic? Am I to concern myself with an allotment of days I never had and was never promised? Must I check off each day of my life as if I am subtracting from this imaginary hoard? No, on the contrary, I will add each day of my life to my treasure of days lived. And with each day, my treasure will grow, not diminish. ~Robert Brault
So, today I celebrate the 17,532 days of my life that I've added to my treasure of days lived and, if I am blessed, my treasure will continue to grow.
Also, for me, my birthday kind of kicks off the Holiday Season and one of my favourite memories is watching Frosty the Snowman on TV (remember when you had to watch it LIVE?...no VCR tapes, no DVDs, no DVRs, etc.?). Remember the part where Frosty comes to life and says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"?

You look GREAT!!! Happy Birthday!!!!
